Carbon monoxide (CO) is a “silent killer” because it is odorless, tasteless, invisible, and lighter than air. CO is quickly absorbed by the body, preventing blood from bringing oxygen to cells, tissues and organs, suffocating it’s victims. Victims of Carbon Monoxide poisoning are often sickened or killed while sleeping. A Carbon Monoxide detector will sound when levels of the gas are elevated, alerting residents that they need to leave the home.

For drainage, issues please call the Engineering Division and talk to one of our employees. The problem will be investigated and a solution will be determined. Most likely, the solution on a homeowner’s lot will be the homeowner’s responsibility as the Village is not responsible for the drainage problems on a private lot. However, the Village may be able to recommend some solutions to solve a resident’s problem. Usually the solution will require a permit from the Building and Zoning Department.
