The Village of Lake Zurich is facing several important water management decisions, from the future source of its water supply to opportunities for reducing localized flooding. These are big decisions, which is why the Village has brought in a team of experts to provide objective analysis and advice as the Village develops an integrated water resources plan addressing water supply, wastewater, and storm water management. The team is comprised of the Metropolitan Planning Council, Center for Neighborhood Technology, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant, and University of Illinois Extension. The project team also includes a task force of experts in engineering, economics, ecology, urban planning, and education, all of whom are providing pro bono assistance. The Village has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the project team.
